A commercial illustration vaguely based on Rene Magritte.

I agree with LW that the image is based on Magritte, but this commercial spin-off--likely on purpose--has toned down the surrealist atmosphere. I can't see enough detail in your image to be sure, but I don't think this composition is a painting--rather, it has the feel of a digital pastiche.

I figured that's where 1TrakMind saw it in the first place -- thus inspiring the original question.


I found it by searching for "+red +umbrella"
on both images.Google.com and images.Yahoo.com.

The image was on the 4th and 2nd pages of their listings, respectively,
with no other references seen in the first ten pages of results.

Found only in one place ... so it's probably owned, and protected.
4th page listing ... so it's used a little, but probably not famous.



Takes a couple minutes but it's easy. Go for it!
