Those who dislike cats will be carried to the cemetery in the rain.
Welcome to A2k nextone. I guess I better shape up when it comes to cats!
I don't like cats much, and they couldn't care less about me.
They say that there are more cat owners than cats. I can believe that.
McT
Cats are served, not owned.
Thanks, LarryBS. I'm certain that there's a cat in an animal shelter who'd be delighted to help you shape up.
McTag,
I agree with Roger,"Cats are served not owned." More cat owners than cats...probably sounds that way sometimes.
I feed a cat every morning. It comes to my back door and it has its face in the dish before I can finish filling it. The rest of the time it runs in fear like it expects me to try to kill it. I think cats are too stupid to love.
edgarblythe,
"..too stupid to love." Do you mean cats don't love, or are not lovable?
Your kind actions speak louder than your words, you cat feeder you.

Aw, it could be a possum or a squirrel and I'd give it a feed.
I love cats and would have atleast 1 if my son wasn't allergic to them.
really? <grins>
never heard that saying, but hey, its very colorful
Nextone, interesting saying. You will like it here with all us cat lovers around.
Edgarblythe, how can you say that? Obviously, you haven't met cats like Nisse and Mysan yet. And of course I am not saying that because they are our cats...
I love cats and I am of Dutch descent. Hmmm, now what does that mean?
Gezzy,
Perhaps your son will grow out of his allergies. My entire family was allergic to cats. When I visited friends who had longhaired cats I would break out in hives. When I was in my twenties, I was visiting a friend who had a cat and the last of her litter. I spent a good part of the evening playing with the kitten, and I realized I wasn't sneezing or itching. That kitten came home with us, first of many.
Nimh and Urs53,
Glad you like the proverb.
Chatoyant,
Had you come across this saying before?
I can relate to that, edgarblythe. I feed four yard cats at work, and if I forget them, I can't leave the office without either a whip and chair, or a bowl of food. The rest of the time, they are terrified, of course. Barney, #1 cat, is the offspring of two of them, and a more affectionate cat you will not find. Still, inside those fluffy little heads lies a very fluffy little brain.
Yeah - The cat I feed is an offspring of a very gentle calico cat I once had. The poor thing died one week when I was out of town. It took me two months to find her body where she went to hide to die.
nextone - no, I hadn't heard this saying before, but I like it!
Nextone
I'm hoping he does grow out of them. I really miss having a cat around the house.
Thanks so much Chatoyant. I needed a change, but I do kind of miss my butterfly.
