Rainsoft Gold Program Help Needed

I just got a Rainsoft Gold, AQC 50 CT from a friend. He was on city water and I am on well water, so it needs to be reprogrammed. There's nothing in the owners manual about programming, and I keep seeing posts about a "secret" pdf file that explains programming. Can anyone provide this to me?
