Source water measures zero but softwater being produced measures .25 ppm nitrites. Where is this coming from?

When checking the Internet, this same or similar situation occurred to another person at the same sort of levels. The advice offered there might be very helpful.

You aren't specifying if the application is for drinking water or aquarium ...but ...(although this following info refers to aquarium or outdoor fish ponds, the info is pertinent.

All signs point to the adding of more salt.

You've not written whether or not you re been measuring at a well or you have a filter.
