We are not in disagreement. I simply mean there are some people who can be identified as unsuitable to own guns. Those that are so identified should be reported as such, and I mean nationally.

God help us to see beyond this horror
That has landed here with fangs and wings like
the lost angel thrown from heaven
cleaving the doors and windows with his nails
and wrinkled viscious cloak of darkness
to get his power back
I light the candles
over my view of the world out there
blood and the round, awful mouth of the loud-sinner
spewing floods of hatred around the world and
into my living room
into my safe holy places
into your safe holy places
rousing the devil like a mirror image
running through the streets that used to be filled
with music and light
and fellowship,
Into the holy places of my friends,
my brothers and sisters
God bless the threatened and the afraid, the dead and the suffering, the injured and the sorrowing,
the children shivering with fear of all those past terrors that are brought to life in death.
Lead us back to the place of safety and peace before the onslought of nightmare and blood in the streets,
that live in their memory
and now in new unimaginable reality
Forgive us and let us live in peace again.

So did anyone go to a synagogue yesterday? I was traveling so did not have the opportunity. I did read about yet another shooting, this time at a Yoga studio.
