Reduced Relative clauses

My student keeps making sentences such as:

The woman being the new boss is wearing a dark suit.
(Should be: The woman wearing a dark suit is the new boss)
Several roads being closed for the parade lead to the city center.
(Should be: Several roads leading to the city center are closed.)

None of the rules I've read explain why these sentences are wrong but they obviously are. I don't know how to explain this grammar point to her.

These sentences are not grammatically incorrect.

@PUNKEY,
That is true, but a native speaker would never say them and I doubt they would be acceptable in an exam. Can anyone else help clarify this for me? :-)
