They took the last guy who said this, nailed him to a piece of wood and left him out to die.
His followers wised up though.
They made a simple change by defining "one another" as a small group of well-off people with no "preversions". Thus they reinterpreted this message to mean to take programs from the poor, keep out immigrants, and attack homosexuals.
The lesson of Christianity is that you have a choice. Your message can get you abused, destitute, and martyred...
...or you can have two cars, political power, popular TV shows and the feeling of superiority that only comes from condemning others.
