@okie,
I will be honest the first time I seen it I thought it was stupid myself and did not even finish the first or second part but a few months later someone else shared it with me and I trusted that the person must have seen something in it so I watched it again and I was amazed at what I was able to learn! @okie,
If I did not consider different view points I would think that it would be fair if you called me bias but don't you think that it would be ignorant of me not to consider other point of views?

Just imagine any other country around the world that has a different religion than what your country believes wouldn't you think that it could be possible that they may be believing in a cultural lie that their culture has taught them. Their values may be different than yours as well!

We have been taught cultural lies as well!
You may be able to shake of your religion but are you able to shake of the ideology {values} that your religion has taught you? I am not saying that all values that religion teaches are bad but there are some that are extremely suppressive!

Tonight I traveled down I-5 to Longview to see my boy play football....there are several large construction equipment rental firms along the way.....their yards are bursting at the seams which I have never seen before. Contruction between Portland and Seattle must be nearly dead.

Until you actually identify the point of your posts, I cannot address your point. I suspect you are on the road to linking Judeo- Christian values to capitalism. Am I close?

What I am linking together is the relationship of values to cultures!

What ever country you live in, your religion will try to maintain the statuesque of the elites and many ancient traditions regardless if these traditions are not supported by evidence to be factual.

This is a very short video that many people like and you may find interesting too!

@reasoning logic,
The republicans want this for Americans too! If you can't find a job; starve. You should be self-sufficient, and not expect the rich to pay for any of your needs.

@cicerone imposter,
It does seem that way at times but I would have to say the democrats don't seem to have a very good answer neither.

All political parties are immersed in corruption!

People should laugh in your face for talking that shite.

The rich are only rich because of society and being good at force, fraud and cunning so what's you argument for not confiscating all assets over $1 million? It's a democracy after all and the rich have very few votes.

The Romans did it numerous times.

@reasoning logic,
Once or twice they did it without killing them. Usually they accused them of treason, tortured a few of their slaves into revealing things they had said and then offed them. Sometimes the family as well. Some were just exiled.

The French did it. And the Russians. It's standard practice.

I read about one very rich American who keeps a hobo's kit in his wardrobe in case he might need to mix in with hoi polloi. But their hands give them away.

I get the impression that you lefties need the rich as a rage-sink to prevent you turning on each other.

All those poor folks who voted for Mr Obama to get a "change" have been sorely disappointed.

@reasoning logic,
I posted this video a little more than 4 hours ago and since then it had over 2,200 views but yet it is voted down on this thread, I wonder why?

The view count is at 10,414,433 at the moment, I wonder how many more people will watch it today.

Will you and if not why not?

The BLS came out with the CPI-W on Thursday. This is significant because the index is used to determine the COLA for people on SS. The numbers to compare are the CPI-W for the 3rd Qtr of 2008 with the index for the same period in 2011.
It looks like, when I do the numbers with 1 month to go in 2011, retirees can anticipate a 3.5 to 3.6% increase in SS. Part of that, though, will be taken back because of an increase in Medicare.

@H2O MAN,
Obama's fault? or are you asking to be called Obama as a nick name by those who think you act that way at times? Nothing personal just a question! Wink
