Thee is so much to be said of war through art; art being the "compassionate " humanist voice incontrast to the politcal destructive inhumane voice which seems to rationize the death by "leading " the people through a quagmire of denile to the political ends, which , as far as I'm concerned , don't justify the means.
Yesterday at the Met I caught many of Goyas "Los Capricios" with several of Daumier's etchinings and inks. I could only wonder as to the relevance their works have today; and what kind of imagery they might produce now.
