Throughout the years, there have been many movies that were either directly about sports or indirectly about sports.

What are some of the (best) and (worst) sports movies you've seen?

@Real Music,
Indirectly dealing with sports:
Jerry McGuire (1996)

Directly:
The Natural (1984)
Hoosiers (1986)
Eight Men Out (1988)
Incidentally those three are my favorite sports movies.

The worst:
Over the Top (1987)
Racket Girls (1951)
Ed (1996)

I enjoyed watching:
Remember the Titans
Gridiron Gang
Field of dreams
Rudy
Coach Carter

When I was much younger, I remember enjoying:
The Bad News Bears.
I probably wouldn't like it now.

Space Jam might be fun for kids, but definitely not enjoyable for adults.

@tsarstepan,
I seen a few of the movies on your list.
Yes. Hoosier was definitely a good movie
Jerry McGuire was okay.
I agree that "Over The Top" wasn't that good.

@Real Music,
I seem to remember enjoying ‘Bull Durham’. Does that count?

Out of all the Rocky movies, Rocky IV was my favorite.
In real life, there was no way that either of the fighters
would have survive those punches. It was still exciting to watch.

@Real Music,
Field of Dreams is on tv every week, it was alright the first 10 times, no more.

Bad News Bears 2005 was funny, Billy Bob warming up for his Bad Santa roll.

I can't remember the 1976 version with Walter Matthau though i'm sure i must of seen it sometime. Probably better than the 2005 one.

Does The Blind Side count, i liked that.

I think the first sport's movie I ever watched was Brian's Song. I watched it on those last days of school when you have nothing else to do. I thought I would hate it -- I loved it.

Here is another good one - Miracle (just for the style of clothes and hair alone)

(The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island) is a 1981 made-for-television comedy film. It is the third of three movies that reunited the cast of the 1964–67 sitcom Gilligan's Island. The film aired on NBC on May 15, 1981.

This is definitely not a good movie.
It's actually quite bad.
With that being said, it still was nostalgic.

I can't imagine that being a bad movie!

@Linkat,
Nostalgia can make a bad movie fun to watch. Smile
