I'm very glad that so many people have been contributing their ideas and recipes to all of my food questions!

How about some recipes for sauces? Sauces for meats and vegetables and desserts - everything tastes better with something great to pour over it!

Guava and Hoisin BBQ sauce. (There's enough for 4 racks of pork baby back ribs.)

1 12 oz. can guava puree
1 12 oz. jar hoisin sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp corn syrup
2 tbsp molasses
3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp cumin, ground
1 tsp onion, minced
1 tsp garlic, minced
1/4 cup dry sherry

Simmer slowly for 1 hour. Cool.

Here's a seafood sauce guaranteed to clog your arteries instantly! Serve over sauteed seafood.

8 tbsp minced onion
8 oz white wine
2 oz lemon juice
2 cups whipping cream
4 oz fresh chopped dill
3/4 lb. butter
Pernod or Anisette to taste

That's right, 2 cups whipping cream and 3/4 of a pound of butter Exclamation

Anyway ... Boil onions, lemon juice and white wine in a saucepan, reducing until there is almost no liquid left. Add cream and bring to a boil. Simmer until liquid is reduced by about 1/3. Place into a blender with the dill and puree. Add the butter in small amounts, continuing to puree. Return contents to saucepan and bring to a boil. Season to taste. Add pernod or anisette to taste.

I can't wait to start trying out some recipes this weekend! Bisque or pasta with tomato sauce or shrimp and dill cream sauce.....
