My friend came back from her trip to Brazil last week.
While she was there they visited an art exhibition and she took photos of a couple of works which were amazing!!
They looked like oils worked with a pallette knife, the subject matter was quite biblical in browns/blacks/beige.The subject matter isnt immediately clear but then when you look harder the strokes of the knife start to form figures and there was one on a large cave with what looked like cloaked figures at the bottom of a cave which had stalagtites on its roof.
They were beautiful paintings but we dont know the name of the artist.
The exhibition was in Embu in Sao Paulo.
Any ideas of who these paintings could have been done by?
A little more information would be great, i.e. date? or even a pic.
Take a look here and browse work of artists :
Catalog Embu das artes
Thanks for your help but its none of those artists.
Il see if my pal can scan the pic to here.

Ok, that didnt work.
Does anybody know how to attatch a picture to her, sent to me in an email?
Ahah-Clarice Starling would be proud of me.I was looking at one of the pics my pal sent me and i noticed the name TOZAN written on it.Alas, so far Ive not found anything relating to that name/painting on the web.
The mention of Tozan seems to be the place where the picture has been taken.
In the state of São Paulo there is a place named "Colonia Tozan" in São Miguel Arcanjo" town.
That could also be the sponsor of the exhibition, The Tozan company.
Ooh, thanks, thats a good starting point.
