THE MAD THUMBER

It could be that the "thumber" in question is simply confused. Over the years, the thumbs have gotten their fair share of attention on this site – and not all of it great. It seems the purpose or intent of the thumbs differs from one member to the next, whether thumbing up or down, or whether it's thumbing a thread vs. an individual post. So in order to help clarify the issue, and while still in keeping with A2K's unique design, I submit the following solution for what should be the next logical step in updating the thumbing mechanism for enhanced user experience...

As it happens, I'm in the early stages of development for an alternate set, which I feel some members may find much more suiting. I suppose it could apply to you as well though...

What are the chances that some troll cared enough about a2k to write down the code to make a "mad thumber bot" to poop all over the board? I am asking because the scatershot approach seems mechanical rather than human.

I first thought it was a monkey, but monkeys are smarter than that. ;-)
