"Profiles from the Front Line"

Members of U.S. Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan are followed in a six part documentary series using actual film footage with no narration.

This series is a production by Jerry Bruckheimer and Bertram van Munster, which will feature compelling personal stories of America's military men and women and the elite U.S. Special Operations Forces.

Premiere Episode
Thursday, February 27, 2003 8pm EST--ABC TV

This new documentary series transports viewers to actual battlefields in Central Asia and follows the elite U.S. Special Operations forces as they apprehend possible terrorists, profiling the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces as they face real-life situations from the home front to the war front. The series will continue weekly on Thursdays thru April 3, 2003.

Among the military personnel being profiled in this premiere episode are:

* Master Sergeant Mark, a team leader of the 3rd Special Forces Group in Orgun, Afghanistan.
* Captain Chris Cirino, company commander of 144 soldiers of the 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division based at Fort Bragg, NC.
* Corporal Peter Sarvis, a one-time Army reservist and stock broker in New York, who returned to the military a few days after the 9/11 attack.
* Senior Chief Petty Officer John "Champ" Killen, an F-14 Maintenance Supervisor, is seen in his assignment on the flight deck of the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea.

Note: Since the first show of the series has not aired yet, I will post comments about the show after viewing one or more shows.

An interesting show. It wasn't in my local listings - must have been a late addition to the schedule.
