There was a rundown of the top 100 cartoons last night where i discovered where the name Bi Polar Bear cam from.
Id never heard of queer duck before!!

"A queer old duck" is an older way of saying "somewhat eccentric old coot', by the way.
I ve heard the term 'duckie' as well.
I've often wondered what an old coot is.

Noddy, I certainly know about moorhens. They used to be all around the pond in my back yard. I found some etymology on the coot not to be confused with cooter, but I decided against posting it.
