@edgarblythe,
I had a dog once that was better than any 20 gopher traps, then she died <sigh.....sniff, sniff>

Suggest we take a young male and female gopher dog and we will be set forever!

@BillW,
My yard has moles. My dog finds and kills them regularly. I am sure he can come along for the gophers.

Good, good - now we just need to find a bitch.

For the dog, for the dog!

@BillW,
He is neutered, but he sometimes acts like he's not. Better bring along fertile dogs.

@edgarblythe,
Yeap, it is the only way to insure future mole/gopher hunters. We will have lots of room. We're going to "motorize" the moon and use it for the move.

@edgarblythe,
I don't think so, it is cold on the moon once we get future out. Therefore, cheese won't be runny.

@BillW,
I don't think Edgar is a big fan of cheese, and particularly not a fan of okra. So we can make okra and cheese sandwiches and split them with the other adventurers.

May global warming take away the cheese and okra. Let the remains be discovered in 500,000 years inside petrified mice.

@farmerman,
Once, about 50 years ago, I chanced to be working in Slidell, LA. I was intrigued by the gumbo on a menu and ordered some, unaware it had okra in it. That is the only time in my life I enjoyed okra. Because the blend of flavors made it indistinguishable. This stuff was so good I had seconds. If the servings weren't so generous I would have had thirds. But one dish does not an edible make.

@edgarblythe,
I would hope we don't take any pimentos. Pimentos ruin the taste of everything. My mother thought they added a little color to some recipes, I thought they were a warning signal the food was ruined. I was right.

@glitterbag,
Sometimes as a kid I was fed pimento loaf, baloney with that crap in it. You are right. They are put in food so you can't judge the edibility of the food.

I think we ought to build a wall to keep the Martians out, just in case they discover those in caves or whatever,
