Welcome to A2k, Meme. Your link is the same as the one given on a post above. People who have slow internet access with their computers have a bit of a wait to see the different pages.

I was reading though this thread and enjoying looking at all the images and it made me think of my old college pal Arturo Herrara and his artwork.

He is one of my favorites just because he was such a great guy who, incidentally, had a lot of talent.

So I googled old Arturo and found that he has become quite known!

Very cool!

I met someone who paints lovely ocean subjects. She's a cracker-jack scuba diver and I was chagrined when she trounced me in a mile swim race in the ocean.

Here's one of her paintings, which is quite large

Boomer, your friend is showing at all the right places - one of my friends who was well thought of by critics showed at Art Pace in San Antonio, and I used to stop in at the Hammer fairly often. Saw a Magritte show there, for example.

Strange how time changes places. I think that the building the Hammer is in used to be the Linde Med Plaza building - one of the labs I worked at had a lab there, and so did sev md friends have offices. I don't know who owns the building now, but the Hammer is at the bottom, all spiffed out. (Or maybe I'm dead wrong and it's the next building...)

Panz, neat woman, or at least a swift one - enjoyable painting.

That is very nice to know, osso.

I shouldn't be surprised to see that he has done so well because he was very talented 20+ years ago when I knew him.

I have a friend who does more comic work now, I suspect, that I loved her crazy paintings, no weblink. Her name is Mandy Ord (Australian).
I have a few in my head, but we are talking "small-time" but making money doing it... most of the time, in spurts.
