"We would get bashed if we did that" and "We will get bashed if we do that".

They basically mean the same thing, but the feeling is different.

The first is a hypothetical statement. We are imagining the consequence of a possible action. The second is a warning. This is something that we actually might do, and this sentence is a direct warning. The second sentence feels more urgent.
