On my exhaust fan outlet door I would like to put a small 12vdc elec. motor to open and close it when the fan is turned off & on. I have a 3rpm motor , some relays and micro switches[3wire] . I would also like to wire in a humidity sensor so if someone takes a hot shower the exhaust fan will start. I live in the country and those little bugs find there way inside the exhaust door.

@ebh,
ok well it gets a little complicated for such a small fan. the open and close device is called a damper, which is mostly used in commercial. Sometimes they use dampers in new home heating and air systems. Your exhaust it not connected to this system it is just a pipe or flexible duct from the fan to the side of your house. So what you need to do is see where this comes out the side of the house and screen it, and seal around the fan box. You can buy new quiet smart fans with controls that have built in humidity settings from home depot and replace your old one.
