I'm studying abroad for a year near Stuttgart, Germany and enjoying it a lot. The semester break is coming up and I was thinking about places to go, but that's essentially everywhere. Not possible for several reasons, not the least of which being time and $ (or rather $$ vs. , and my lack of one meaning an increased lack of the other...).
A couple of friends and I are thinking of 4 days in Paris, 4 days in Berlin, a couple days in Amsterdam, maybe Prague and trying to visit a mutual friend in Sweden.
We've already been to Rome. I really liked it, was beautiful and warm (in general, both the people and the climate). Didn't like the amount of time we did it in though. Eww. 2 days of non-stop walking and sightseeing. Not really any time to just wander around and enjoy Rome as just that: Rome-- not all the other touristy stuff that goes with it. We did go for quality and not quantity, so we each saw what we really wanted to, but it was still so overwhelming, and the aches and pains lasted for a week. Worth it, yes, but still.
Okay, so concerns: where to go, having enough time there, , and safety. I'm 20 and my friends are both 2 years older, we're all girls.
Any advice, suggestions on what to see, etc. would be appreciated.
