Help please! We've had basement water issues for years and all attempts to fix it on our own have failed.

I've met with 2 different water proofing companies: B-Dry and Insta-Dry. Does anyone have experience with these companies?

H2O proofing is virtually impossible to achieve. It's much better to work with water than against it. Remember, FL Wright designed Falling Water. He didn't try to keep it out, the H2O that is, he simply allowed an easy path for it to escape.

That's the trick. Unless you have a year round river running thru your basement, you should be able to provide weeping tile to a sump pit, then pump it away. Smaller amounts can be handled with a French ditch, depending on ground saturation levels.
