Comment with a name (can be real or fake, famous or not) and a literary genre (sci-fi, young adult, romance, western, fantasy, mystery, etc.) and the next person creates a one-sentence backstory for that person/character.

I give you -

Adolfina Wupperman, crime drama

PS Once you've created a backstory for the name of a character above you, don't forget to add a new name and genre! Very Happy

@jespah,
On a blustery early April day in the year 1953, in Upper North St.Adalbert the fifth child and only daughter of Adolfo and Sarina Wupperman (nee Zippenstein), with an evil look in her oval shaped honeydew color eyes and a snarling sneer upon her mouth - an appearance which betrayed the true inner nature of the person who one day would root out and rid all cime from nearby Lower West St.Barnabas - Adolfina Wupperman was brought into the world.

Next up, Flossy Hildegarde Gump in a sci-fi tale.

(sincere apologies to the actual Adolfina Wupperman)

@Sturgis,
Flossy Hildegarde Gump was known as the Alien Whisperer. She could repel any invasion force merely by repeating the most terrifying words in any alien language, "Day-old potato salad."

Carmine DiNucci - Regency romance.

Sir Barclay Farquhar surveyed with dark, hooded eyes his bevy of newly-
acquired nieces, none of whom knew their fate in London's bon ton, nor
that their soi-disant uncle was in fact the notorious Carmine Di Nucci.

And now: Cupcake Cassidy in a western.

Let me tell you about the baddest hombre that ever did live; he was meaner'n a rattlesnake kissin' a cactus, and the faster draw I ever done see -
he was the legendary Cupcake Cassidy.

Through the half-closed door, Tonya Harding watched her rival Nancy writhing

@George,
Cuthlwulf the Blue -- Medieval Fantasy

Often confused with his father , Cuthlwine, by both the wine and his mother, his legendary bawdy blue nights standing tall and proud was predicated upon such and much gaeity.

After tilting at windmills, Don Quixote de la Trampa says the moral of the story is: alternative energy sources don't fool around.

@jespah,
Roy Rogers - urban fantasy

Wrangling the monstrous mutated alligators of the New York sewers was a
far cry from a round-up at the Double-R-Bar, I reckoned, but the ranch was
repossessed and a man's gotta make a living.

Prince Filbert the Feckless -- Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, Prince Filbert the Feckless lived in an enchanted forest with bunnies and deer and kitties and goats and ocelots and tunicates in a rather loosely-defined open relationship.

@jespah,
Davy Crockett -Russian novel

The Siberian winter was yet to thaw as the rugged Davy Crockett embarked in his pursuit of wild walrus with nothing but a polar bear to keep him warm at night and a handsome gyrfalcon to locate and bring back food for his beloved Lara, not knowing she was seeing the villainous Yuri whenever the coast is clear.

It had been twenty years -- at least! -- since Friedrich Nietzsche's mustache
had started demanding that Friedrich be surgically removed.

@George,
RuPaul Revere -- historical fiction

Those lights are fabulous, honey, and that one if by land, two if by sea thing is making my little heel-wearing toes quiver but no matter how sumptuous this gown is, it'll be dangerous if I ride side saddle tonight, if you know what I mean.

As the giant orange chicken monster lay dying at his feet, its slayer removed
his goatee, messed up his hair, shed his string tie and revealed his true
identity -- Col. Sanders became Bernie Sanders!

@George,
Eulalia Frigg -- Tall Tale

Some say that Eulalia Frigg stole the moon and replaced it with her heart; in reality she took the moon's place in orbit and let the moon live Eulalia's life as part time waitress and part time secretary here in Ephraim, Wisconsin.

@tsarstepan,
John Paul Getty, Hagiography

Born in a log cabin, John Paul Getty wrestled wild coyotes while helping little old ladies cross the street and, in his spare time, saving the American banking system on little more than a shoeshine and a smile.

@jespah,
Valentina Tereshkova - chick lit

As the space capsule began its decent back to earth, Valentina Tereshkova, or Val-Val as she was known in babushka circles, grinned as she thought of the tasks she'd ordered her lover Yuri to complete in her absence, including paying a handsome sum to her soon to be husband Andriyan, to silence him over what she had done to get this cushy gig.
