OK! I stand corrected! I should have said rate of increasing temperature over time. However, I bet you are intelligent enough to have known that was exactly what I meant in the example I posted.

Certainly, and I wasnt trying to be a smartass (today Embarrassed), I'm just trying to assist discussion by making sure we are speaking in correct terms.

And Parados, the ocean temps dropped 0.26 from November 2006 to November, 2007, a drop almost twice the magnitude of the overall rise of about 0.15 from November 1978 to November 2007.

Florida orange growers are being threatened by global warming now.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,319805,00.html

The analysis is predictable though. It goes like this. Global warming has caused more erratic and more unpredictable weather, and therefore it causes unusual freezing from time to time. Isn't that right, Parados, etc. etc.?

Yes, that's correct.

The atmosphere is a big swirling soup of currents of air, all at slightly or greatly different temperatures. Change the dynamic of the soup, change the convection patterns. Doesn't take a genius to see this Okie.

Being cold in Florida is not unusual and this happens annually. As far back as I can remember (1970's) visiting Central and even southern Florida in "winter" you would always find a day or 2 of extreme cold.

The earth will have to warm quite a bit before frost is no longer a threat in Florida in the winter months. Anyone with any sense would know that but then you are citing fox news. Rolling Eyes

So if Fox News reported the sun came up this morning, you wouldn't believe it? You are hilarious, Parados.

Er, you aren't reading him right. He's merely stating that frost in Florida isn't unusual.

The heaviest snowfall in more than a decade has left at least 21 people dead in Iran (the Guardian)

Santa Claus must be visiting (belatedly) Teheran :wink:

You obviously missed what our fellow A2K'ers reported about the "heat" elsewhere ...

What actually and honestly mades me still wonder is that some most probably well educated persons still get confused about .... never mind, forget it.

It was in the 60's here in Chicago this week.

My 5 foot piles of snow around my driveway are all gone and my dogs can't get enough of the mud.

The fundamental question is whether or not humans are:
(1) EXCLUSIVE (100%) causers of climate change;
(2) PRIMARY (50%< TO <100%) causers of climate change;
(3) PARTIAL (1%< TO =50%) causers of climate change;
(4) TRIVIAL (0% TO =1%) causers of climate change.

Climate Parameters
Temperature, clouds, visibility, winds, precipitation and atmospheric pressure are all measureable climate factors.

Which ones are humans causing how much? Why do you think so?

Temperature
Average annual global temperatures over the last 100 years have varied:
1907 = 14.493C = (32 + (14.493 X 1.8)) = (32 +26.087) = 58.087F
1908 = 14.441C = (32 + (14.441 X 1.8)) = (32 +25.994) = 57.994F
1909 = 14.436C = (32 + (14.436 X 1.8)) = (32 +25.985) = 57.985F
1910 = 14.452C = (32 + (14.452 X 1.8)) = (32 +26.014) = 58.014F
1911 = 14.419C = (32 + (14.419 X 1.8)) = (32 +25.954) = 57.954F
1912 = 14.509C = (32 + (14.509 X 1.8)) = (32 +26.116) = 58.116F
...
1997 = 15.351C = (32 + (15.351 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.632) = 59.632F
1998 = 15.546C = (32 + (15.546 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.983) = 59.983F
1999 = 15.296C = (32 + (15.296 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.533) = 59.533F
2000 = 15.270C = (32 + (15.270 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.486) = 59.486F
2001 = 15.409C = (32 + (15.409 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.736) = 59.736F
2002 = 15.464C = (32 + (15.464 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.835) = 59.835F
2003 = 15.473C = (32 + (15.473 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.851) = 59.851F
2004 = 15.447C = (32 + (15.447 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.805) = 59.805F
2005 = 15.482C = (32 + (15.482 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.868) = 59.868F
2006 = 15.421C = (32 + (15.421 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.758) = 59.758F
2007 = 15.414C = (32 + (15.414 X 1.8)) = (32 +27.745) = 59.745F

Who and/or what caused these temperatures how much? Why do you think so?

Record cold in New Mexico and approaching record snows in some areas coupled with periods of near record heat; however, a "January thaw" is not uncommon at all.

Still, I tend to agree with a blurb I got in my e-mail this mornng which suggested that Mother Nature is in menopause.

I don't think any of this has anything to do with AGW, however.

So true. If only those projections in the various AGW models were testable in any other manner than waiting a couple of centuries Smile

Foxfyre has repeatedly provided her opinion about the science to explain it.

So have I repeatedly provided my opinion about the science to explain it.

You have provided your opinion about the science to explain why you think the events Foxfyre mentioned have much to do with AGW.

The problem is you don't agree with our opinions and we don't agree with your opinion.

Speaking for myself, I reject your opinion because I do not understand how the science to which you referred supports your theory that humans are making more than a trivial contribution to climate change.
