Do I use an ANOVA?

I am an Ed. D. student working on my dissertation.

I have a 50 question survey instrument that measures 7 Professional Development Standards. Each standard has about 6-8 questions.

I am giving the survey to teachers are MO four-day schools and MO five-day schools. A sample of one of my seven null hypotheses is as follows:
There is no difference in the usage of learning communities (one of the standards) between MO four and five-day schools.

I believe this means I have 2 independent variables (four-day vs five-day schools) and 7 dependent (the 7 standards measured by the survey instrument).

I have two questions:
(1) Is my identification of the variables correct?
(2) What stat would be appropriate?

Thanks

@mlewisstatsquestion,
As I read it, you have one independent variable - type of school, with two possible answers. Since you only have one independent variable, you can use a standard t-test for significance.
