@dlowan,
I know you do.

Not crazy about the culture of the AFL, nor NRL, myself.

But love the spectacle of a good AFL finals match.

@dlowan,
It hasn't started yet, Deb.

But when it does start, I'll definitely be watching.

Is that OK? Wink

@Dutchy,
Ha.
I know you will, Danny. Smile

I'm just hoping, given the soggy condition of Melbourne & the MCG today, that it isn't just a soggy spectacle & little else.

@Dutchy,
He has his moments, I confess, Danny.

But, it was a bit of a surprise for one of those moments to be at an AFL grand final, that's all! Razz

@Dutchy,
Lead changing, minute by minute ...
After a strong start by Geelong .....
Pretty exciting first quarter so far.

Go maggies!

@msolga,
Geelong one point in front at the end of the first quarter.
A much better competition than I'd expected, given the far less than desirable weather conditions.

@msolga,
No clear winner at this stage with the Maggies in front by 3 points at half time. Could be a see-sawing game right till the end!

@dlowan,
Half time.
And the outcome of this final is by no means predictable at this stage ... too close to call.

But now I have some time to respond to this, from Deb:

Quote:
You're enabling.....but I guess I'll let you just this once.

I asked you to explain how I was "enabling", but you haven't responded, Deb.
But certainly, I do not need your OK ... for whatever your perception of my enabling offense actually is!

To call someone an "enabler" in a political sense, is to throw some fairly damning condemnation in the direction of that person.
So you might not be too surprised that I asked for some explanation from you.

What exactly is the problem with me, or anyone else, for that matter, enjoying yet another AFL grand final?
Something which I have done since I was around 5 years old, as a new comer to this country.

And is my interest in this AFL final any different to a person enjoying an NRL final?
Is an NRL supporter an "enabler", too?
Whatever that means.
