Well, back then, he was all over the sports pages, particularly at Notre Dame, but then later. And then much later, for other matters. He and Alex Karras got into stuff. Alex Karras was another guy to behold. I saw a Johnny Carson show with Alex Karras and Burt Reynolds and Johnny that had me rolling on the floor, they were all very bright at ad libbing.
I had my crush on Paul Hornung just about the time the nuns were telling me I had a vocation. I remember praying for him (crossed eyes, now.) They eventually lost me.
