Currently in Houston: 84 degrees + 74% humidity = 90 degree heat index at 8 pm. <sigh>

But I'm not complaining as I now have lovely cool, efficient a/c.

Weird. It's warmer and more humid in Toronto than it is in Houston right now. Confused

So macisoneinamillion - how about late autumn in New York?

~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks Bree! I'll meet YOU at The Strand Very Happy
That was nice. Why is it that whenever I get together with the NYC A2Kers, I leave with my love for this city even stronger than it was before?
Because it is a super city....and we non-city dwellers are better able to point that out than you are.
We did have a great time last night. Weather was spectacular....and the Frying Pan was really hopping.
If Kicky's avatar lived in New York, I'd have to move there.
Yes, that place is really cool. I might go back and check it out this weekend.
By the way, I walked all the way home from there last night. Took over an hour. Damn, that was a good walk!
I went back to the Frying Pan last night after a day at the beach with my buddy. He's also having some job/life struggles, and so we sat out there at the front of the boat, watched the sunset, and talked about life. Sunset is very conducive to that kind of talk, for some reason.
My friend might have actually made a very big decision about what he's going to do with his life while we were sitting out there watching the sky's colorful transformation from day to night. I, as usual, didn't make any concrete decisions, but I might have come a little closer, and the burger I had was f*cking delicious.
What a beautiful night it was. The Frying Pan is my new favorite place in New York. Thanks for finding it for me, Frank!
It is a dynamite place...and I'm sure many great times will be had there by the entire gang.
I happened to stumble across this thread and I just wanted to say, "Good for you, Kickycan!!"
Glad to hear you had a good time with your bud, enjoying the sunset and the f***ing delicious burger. You sound like you're feeling better lately.
Well, you're a smart guy. I'm sure you'll figure out what you want to do. Sounds like you're doing the right thing. Just take as much time as you need, and don't put too much pressure on yourself.
Stay positive!
Thanks, Stray Cat! I just realized that you joined A2K at the perfect time to see me go off the deep end. Laughing
I'm really not the complete mess that you have seen since you joined this site. I have just had a bad few weeks, but I'm feeling more myself lately. I just had to deal with the death of a couple of my most cherished delusional fantasies regarding work, and that really sucked. I'm okay though. Thanks for the support, my feline friend.
Ciao, bella...
Awww...I never thought you sounded like a mess. Just someone who's facing some tough questions, which we all do sooner or later. I'm going through the same thing right now, trying to find something better. It feels like everything's up in the air, which, yes...it sucks! It's enough to make you nauseous.
So, believe me, I understand. Glad you're feeling better now. I'm sure everything will get much better eventually -- for both of us!
Yep! We'll be fine, I'm sure of it!
So when are you supposed to hear from those people about that dream job you interviewed for last week?
ok, I have some good news.......well great news and some maybe bad news.
First the good.........my daughter is moving to New York. We found her an apartment and we're all pleased as little punch.
I don't know when Phoenix is planning to be here......but I hope it's not this week end because Bernie and I have to fly to Portland to help my daughter pack up her things. We'll be back next week. I hope we're not going to be missing any fun!
I also have pix of last Thursday night, but I don't have time to post them now. I'll do it soon, however.
