I'd love to be tripod'd again. You still haven't sent me phone number info.

An umbrella is a good idea, kickypants.

Don't worry, there's some guy on every corner selling them when it's raining. I'd say ten bucks should cover it easily.

Ten bucks? The last time I bought an umbrella from a street vendor in Manhattan, he asked for $5, and agreed to take $3. Of course, that was some time back in Jimmy Carter's presidency ...

Yeah, it's less than ten. I just said ten so that ehBeth could tell her friends about the smokin' deal she got on her trip to NYC.

The raincoat is unpacked. Again.
We'll see.
I've got another 8 hours of packing and unpacking to go.

<it was a lot easier when I was goin' to see l'k, and got the date wrong, and had minutes to pack>

smokin' deal? they'll have to give it to me free, with a Tag knock-off thrown in. I haven't paid for an umbrella since I started golfing.

Don't forget an extra pair of shoes in case it rains and you step in a monster puddle at some point.

Oh, and the TSA's website says umbrellas are "allowed in carry-on baggage once they have been inspected to ensure that prohibited items are not concealed". Check out the

List of permitted and prohibited items

At least dag and I will be driving. We'll each have half a backseat and half the trunk for extra stuff we might perhaps need, maybe.

Of course a raincoat - you silly woman!

A light coat is a good idea........but not necessarily a rain coat. Light weight wool has been handy in the late afternoon around here the last few days. But do bring an unbrella, but keep in mind that when you.........I mean.........actually need it, it will be back at the room and if you don't need it, you'll wag it along for hours all day, only to have to put on your sunglasses and worry about sun screen. So.............make it a light weight unbrella. Laughing This is happening tomorrow. This will be fun; lookin forward to it............
