I'll do what I alway do.
Call Joe...meet him somewhere...and trust that he can get me to wherever we are supposed to be going.
Wow, lower east side is waaaay down there. But, it IS right next door to Little Italy (thanks again for the map, Kicky!).
let's drag kix great map forward
kickycan wrote:7A is a restaurant/bar near Dag's friends, where I assume you'll be staying. It's a cool place. It's actually at the corner of 7th Street, and Avenue A, hence the name.
Here's a rough map of the places where you will be...
I get so nervous when I'm about to meet new A2Kers. Please, littlek, ehBeth...be gentle.
Just don't get shy. And, try not to be nervous, we are all very experienced.
So, kicky, will you be our greeter. You could stand in a an available parking space for us and we could drive around looking for you.
Will this event be black tie?
I think what you kids are doing is noshing at 7A with Kicky at one then wandering about the drizzly New York landscape until it's time to head for Lola's at 7.
Many munchies there, and hanging off the balcony, and saying "holy crap, that's a big closet" and " what wonderful cheese this is" while trying to remember which one is Frank and which one is Joe. (Joe is the one who speaks in parentheses)
Then there will be the fun cab ride down to where you parked your car to see if it is still there.
Joe(yes, he is)Nation
Joe, give us options. What would you suggest? How does Frank get there?
I like it when JoeN thinks I'm one of the kids
I think Frank and Nancy will be there for the Saturday wander-about.
What options do you need, littlek? He just laid out a perfectly good plan there. We meet at one o'clock at 7A (I'll be the one standing in an empty parking space right out front), and then we can all walk around, shop, check out the big bad city, whatever you like for the next five hours or so until we have to meet at Lola's.
Doesn't that sound like a good sensible plan?
Except for the car not being there when we get backto it.
Okay, I'll just stand guard at the car then while you guys go have your fun. How's that?
Dag seems to think things'll be ok, Miss K.
New York's not really that bad a place.
But but but..... read what Joe said (not even in parenthesis).
I'd be willing to bet your life savings that the car will be fine.
