Frank left me a message about an hour and a half ago saying he was alive and well and hanging out at the Jersey Shore with his wife.

Frank is okay.
Said he got home, ate like a horse, went to bed, go up and went to the beach with Nancy (known all over New Jersey as "that poor thing")

He called me this afternoon at three after I left three messages between 8 and 9 in the morning.

What?

Next he collapses I'm going to finish him off.

Thanks, JoeNation and Kicky, I've been glad to hear that but still frowning.

I suppose he'd be grouchy about a flood of well wishes.

(Hurling agnostic apples over the fence at Frankie).

Or, would he?

Sounds good, but make sure he finds atheism on his deathbed first.

Frank predicted that there would be various reports of his episode here. I suggested that he get here first and report his own version.

It was wonderful to meet Frank and Noddy and Roberta and ehBeth and her friends. Walter hasn't changed a bit since I met him in Chicago last year. Very Happy

Pictures were taken at Georgio's, but I don't know if they'll be posted. (It's cool with me though...)

Joe Nation - I'm sorry I missed you at Bryant Park. As it turned out, I probably could have made it down there. Any chance that you'll be joining in on the festivities Sunday?

Photos will be posted - but at will take some time: at first those with Penny (hell, the two of us are really very close friends), then Chicago, then Boston, then New York.

And before that, I'll have to return to Germany.

And before that, I'll meet you, nac, in about an hour and a half, will have four nore days here ...

I didn't kick Frankie while he was down.

If he tries to behave like that again on my watch, I just may.

Yesterday on Grovernor's Island was fabulous - a Great Gatsby party. We learned Walter doesn't know the difference between floozy and flapper ... or so he claims.

A small amount of shoe-shopping last night between 8:20 and 9:40 p.m. Walter was trapped at the Strand Very Happy Bookstore.

Kicky knows how to get in touch with us - they call them PM's Rolling Eyes .
I'll demonstrate by sending one with Eugenie's number.

Sounds like you guys are having a great time. Does me good to hear this.

What's with the inserts? I gotta come up with my own comments?

On a similar note, I met Beth! I met Beth! Still smile when my mind's eye returns us to our red-zone face off on Ninth Avenue. Two like-minded meshuginas.

Lest anyone worried, I found a cab a few minutes after we split, and made it back to the hotel safely (of course).

Today was great! Breakfast at Cafe Mozart, lots of walking in Central Park, watched the Broadway Show League play ball, dinner in Little Italy.

Bethie, ask Brenda if she experienced a lower low point than the portapotties in the park... Confused
