I'm not convinced about that "don't toast" thing, but I'm game to try.

What do you mean, Beth? The only reason to toast a bagel is if it's a day old. A fresh bagel should not be toasted! Fie and feh.

You forgot the other reason to toast a bagel... A sesame seed bagel should always be toasted prior to applying the crunchy peanut butter.

OK so has anybody said yet WHEN this will happen?

Very important question since I my (only) suit might be taken to the dry-cleaner's.

(Or better to the alteration shop as well.)

Isn't this a very interesting question? We may wait until June while Walter, et al is here..........but Walter, there will be no suits allowed.

I'll keep you all informed.

And Beth that grilled cheese info may be true except that Bernie makes the best grilled cheese sandwich in New York. It's our favorite dinner. Grilled cheese and Campbells bean with bacon soup. Yum

What kinda cheese does Bernie use? bread? toasted before it's grilled? on the grill, in a pan, or in the oven?

umm yummy I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Tillimook cheddar from Agata
Italian wheat bread from Agata, fresh baked that day, sliced thick, is buttered and toasted on the grittle on one side, then the cheese on the toasted side, then grilled on the other side until toasty toasty and the cheese is melted. And he's not cheap about the cheese either.

Hello all you lovely Americans.

I'm writing this to you from Germany, and the day has dawned here fine and clear. Sunny, warm weather for fun and frolics in Westphalia.

Maybe also some kaffee and kuchen in the offing, along the way.
