I did not like 2049 anything like as much as the original & to some degree it might be because I had high expectations from it. I believe that's always the case when your a big fan of the original movie. Possibly (for me) the second one just did not have the sound & visual effects of the first. The music (in the first) was done by Vangelis which did a great job of working with the visuals to produce a great atmosphere.
