Forever ? ! ? ! ?

Can you understand how the prospect rather horrifies me?

As I now know, 40 days can mean many different lengths of time and it is a period of time open to interpretation.

From now on I believe I will be wishing everyone a happy 40 days.

I'll let each individual grapple with what the heck I mean as my own little Bible wink and nod leaves them bewildered and acting like a pot head.

I thought it was an interesting link. The number 40 is used throughout the Bible to describe all manner of things and times. I confess that some of the connections slip by me but I can see where it is used to describe a period of testing. Thanks husker!

SOME people believe that Jesus spent some of that time with the "Lost Tribes of Israel"... here in North America.
Faith is a curious thing... people often believe what they choose to believe, and ignore anything that contradicts their chosen beliefs.

Would that be the Mormons, Magnus?

I read Sentanta's link today. It is interesting that a theologian would be so obsessive about pinpointing a time and date for creation.
