OK I scanned in a few family pictures that my aunt sent me a few months ago .. I asked her to, cause some of 'em are just brilliant. They could go in some book.
This one is my favourite - couldnt this just so be East-Berlin, 1979?
But it's just in the Hague: my greatgrandma (who was to live till I was in my teens), my aunt and my sister.
My dad smoking a cigar and eating an apple, underneath the then-ubiquitous "Have a healthy candy: eat an apple" poster - those were the days eh?
:
My aunt feeding my sister on the back porch (B/W contrast came out a bit sharp in the scan tho):
Gotta love those Polaroid type pictures, this is my The Hague family in the back garden... (thats my sister in the grass there, I think):
All of the above were from before I was born, but this is my dad and me:
This be my sister again, in an untypical Pippi Longstocking moment:
And this is my sis (on the right) and me (on the left), drawing. Note also the big ashtray on the carpet on the table - been a while since I last saw one of those trad carpets on the table in a cafe! Miss 'em ... they used to be as Dutch as drinking old genever!
