Clean and restart a RainSoft Gold

Accidentally knocked some gunk into my brine tank. Ugh.

Removed all salt, water, and gunk from the tank. Cleaned it out and now need advice on restarting. I can't find anything in the manual.

Should I be adding water as well is my main question. But any steps are welcome advice.
