If I can be forgiven for digressing, that reminds me of the tale of Farmer Tom, whose wife, Mary, sadly passed away. Tom was notoriously mean and had to be practically 'strong-armed' by his neighbours into putting a death notice in the local newspaper. He rang the newspaper office and asked that his wife's death notice should only say 'Mary's dead'. The office clerk told him that the newspaper had a special offer that day - '5 words for the price of 2'. The following day Tom's neighbours opened the paper to find the following notice in the Deaths column: 'Mary's dead. Hay for sale'.
