Im having a nostalgia trip.
Does anybody remember The Littlest Hobo, Red Hand Gang and Adventures of Tom Sawyer with that amazing intro music where a boat(with a big turny wheel)travels down a river?
Also East Of Eden, the drama with the woman being attacked by a crocdile, and the Wizard of Oz version of Fame?
Those were the days.
How about the episode of "Happy Days" that spun off into "Mork and Mindy"?
Or "Lavern & Shirley"?
Or "Little House on the Prairie"?
Or "The Carol Burnett Show"?
Or "Mama's Family"?
Do you know what show had the most spin-offs?
Rockford Files and Barney Miller come to mind. The best and most realistic of the private and civil police shows.

Ah, yes: "All In The Family."
Uh oh! I didn't think of "All in the Family" as old. Thanks ever so much, ForeverYoung.
I believe you were thinking of "Joanie Loves Chachi" as the "Happy Days" spinoff. "Mork and Mindy" is the show where Robin Williams plays Mork, an alien from the planet Ork.
Wasn't Mork's first appearance on "Happy Days"?
"All in the Family", I believe, had the most spin-offs, including "Maude" and even "Good Times."
M.A.S.H.
I had to be a strange kid, because that was one of my favorite shows.
Andy Griffith
Gomer Pyle U.M.C.
And don't know if that was his first appearance, but I remember watching that episode of Happy Days with Mork appearing.
How and why was Mork on Happy Days? I don't remember that episode's plot at all.
Mork did indeed start on "Happy Days". He came down to bring back a human specimen to Ork. All is well explained on this link:

I love "Rockford Files" and also love "Leave it to Beaver," which TVLand shows regulalry. I find it interesting to compare, "Leave it to Beaver," "Ozzie and Harriet," Father Know's Best," etc. to today's sitcoms. I find the former to be generally superior.
