I understand that in New York State any person can check the record of any New York State lawyer on the Internet (http://portal.courts.state.ny.us/pls/portal30/INTERNETDB_dev.RPT_ATTY_REG_NEW.show_parms).

Is there a way to look us District of Columbia lawyers? Virginia? Maryland?

Ha, cool, I found myself (not that I was missing or anything ...).

I have no idea re DC lawyers. How did you find the NY site?

I read an article that mentioned it. I believe that it was in The New York Times.
