@George,
Clapping for your sending out that Fred Neil version of this folk standard. I've only heard my buddy Dave Van Ronk's version, which I love. This is quite different and delightful.

Thanks Latin George and Ragman Russ for keeping us on the air.

Love In the Summertime; Green Rocky Road, y'all.

Heard from McTag and he and Fiona are fine. Nothing from The Tsar in Brooklyn, however, but Bert Lee told me that he had rewritten the chords in his song Cowboy from Boston.

Sorry that I can't acknowledge each contribution, Russ and George. Too many, but as you know, My way of thanking you is to thumb you up.

Here are a couple of songs for the morning here in our Florida radio station.

First, The Sandpiers:

Rags~
The first time I heard "Green Rocky Road" was this version on a local college
radio station. One great thing about my town is the wealth of college stations.

Come Saturday morning, I'm dragging Rhys's narrow butt to the gym.
He's finally getting up.

@George,
Glad Rhys is up and at 'em George. Here's one to match Vonny's Love oh Love oh Careless Love. (hope y'all will check the lake birds) Enjoyed Cinnamon Girl.

My sister and I use to sing these two song together, and they matched perfectly.

Inspired by TsarStephen, a poem, but first the western Meadowlark.

A picnic in the park
The Western Meadowlark

Into my heart came stealing
A hope of love revealing.

Remember the times,
When all of us made rhymes,

The breezes of the summer,
In gentle cooling number.

@George,
Speaking of geography, as I recall from your mentioning it (and in your profile), we grew up a few miles apart. I lived in 'Meffa' (Wright's Pond was my backyard) from '58-'67 and used to visit there afterwards for decades.

Coffee-houses and Harvard Sq as well as Beacon Hill was/were where I used to go for musical listening. FWIW, I knew Dave Van Ronk personally as my sister was his life-partner/manager from 1970-to about the mid-80s. I used to often visit them at their apartment in Village

@Letty,
YVW. I don't get to come by as often as I've been dealing with some health issues. The latest in the string of bad luck is a case of Shingles, which fortunately is finally going away.

Vonny, you missed my song inspired by you. Love that one you played, however.

Russ, I understand about those things. I have been where you have been.

I don't know if anyone here watches TV but I watched Cold Case the other night and knew every song they played. I've done most of them here.

Here's one of my favorites and a great one with which to say goodnight.

@Letty,

Hi there, Miss Letty and Radio friends.

We often see robins in our garden, and often a jay-bird! So here's a cheery song for a Sunday morning.

Boy, poor little Michael went through a few changes, not all for the better imho.

And here's song I like a lot:
