I like Charley Pride Miss Letty. ' June is bustin' out all' over is a great piece of music, I just wish it were true. No sign of Summer yet.
Nice poem too.

tsar, those animals were fantastic. As for the "ship of the desert"

Poems by Ogden Nash : 69 / 119

The Camel

The camel has a single hump;
The dromedary , two;
Or else the other way around.
I'm never sure. Are you?
Ogden Nash

Love, Jolene by that lady.

euroGeorge, thanks once again for your comments and personal acknowledgement. Ah, Eva Peron's version of Don't Cry for me Argentina was great.

Now, the song that goes with the poem. As I have observed, it was about his wife who had small pox and didn't come out because she was scared.

@Letty,
Morning Miss Letty, I did indeed like Tony singing Valencia. I wouldn't mind being there right now on another overcast day here.
Clair de Lune is such a wonderful piece.

Yeah i went to the flickers last night, late showing of Tom Cruise's new movie, Edge of Tomorrow. It was brilliant, really enjoyed it. I digress... back to the music.

Abba - - Take a chance on me.

@Letty,
Not a huge fan of Tom myself Miss Letty, ( Far and Away done it for me) but i like sci-fi movies and he cleverly in my opinion knows the value of that market.

I've never had my palm read by a gypsy, is there such a thing as a gypsy anymore. You had to love the Hollywood gypsy.

I also never seen Rain Man, god i'm so boring.

My sweet gypsy Rose.

edgar, Here I Come again by Dolly says it right.

Saying goodnight with two songs.

@Letty,
I didn't realize Thomas More had written that poem.
I saw Hans Holbein's famous portait of him at the Frick Collection in NYC.

It's Pentecost Sunday, the celebration of the day the Holy Spirit descended
upon the apostles in the form of tongues of fire. Interesting imagery. The
more common image of the Spirit is as a dove.

Bob, a deacon at my church, St. Pat's, was on a cruise on a cruise with his
wife and they went to a magic sow. At the end of one trick, the
magician opened a box and doves flew out. On dove settled on Bob's
shoulder. "Just like the Holy Spirit," Bob joked to his wife. At that point,
the dove pooped on him.

As she was cleaning him off, his wife said, "If the next trick involves fire,
I'm outta here."

Anyway "Pentecost" always makes me think of the Paul Simon lyric,
Well, I told her I was lost.
And she told me all about the Pentecost.

Paul Simon -- Duncan
