@George,
For the record, the poem was written by Irish poet, Thomas Moore. Thomas More was a British politician from the Tudor era.
Yours sincerely,
A. Pedant.

Good morning, everybody. Well, school graduations are over and some of my grandkids are now bonafidee diploma holders. Had one to attend in Huntsville and one southwest Houston. My son came in by bus from Oklahoma and through a tragicomedy of errors arrived in downtown Houston at 2:45 AM and I had to be there to pick him up. He returned last night. The only available bus left out at midnight. A bus taken a day later would jeopardize his getting home in time to get ready to work on Monday - extremely critical, on his job. All in all, a busy time for the Blythians in this corner of the world.

Here's Bob Dylan.

Imur, welcome back, and you are correct. It was Thomas Moore. Was a bit stressed out last evening, and didn't feel well.

Thinking of my friend Brucie today who played this song on the piano.

Sorry if I cannot acknowledge each one, but as you know, my way of thanking you is to thumb you up.

@eurocelticyankee,
Thanks for the comment and personal acknowledge, euro, and that golden oldie was great. I played that Hungarian song because Budapest is in Hungary.

I love this Irish hymn, and although I've played it before, it worth another play:

Thinking of Art Blakey today: "nothing but the soul"

So here is a soul man whose birthday is today.

Well, the reason stress is bad for me is that it elevates my glucose. Inspired by Voltaire:

The Dawn man:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfzpYj63FHQ

I think that is Spanish.

So long ago, I wrote this poem for someone that I love and then set it to music.

Sleep well my darling,
I'll see you tomorrow,
When we shall be together once more.

Sleep well my darling,
For sleep ends all sorrow,
A new day, a new life in store.

I'll hold your sweet memory,
Through the long, long night,
For I know that I shall hold you
When the dawn sheds it light.

All fears will be ended,
All tears will be still,
But until that day dawns,dear,
My darling sleep well.
George
