When I left Havana nobody saw me go
But my little gaucho maid who loves me so
She came down the pathway following after me
That same little gaucho maid that I longed to see
If at your window you see a gentle dove
Treat it with care and welcome it there with love
It may be so I do not deny its glee
Crown it with flowers grant love its hours for me
Oh my darling be mine
Won't you say that you love me
All my passions so tender oh please surrender your love divine
Ah my darling be mine
Won't you say that you love me
Oh my passions so tender oh please surrender your love divine
Oh my darling be mine
Won't you say that you love me
All my passions so tender oh please surrender your love divine
Sorry. Tried to play a tribute to our Mexican friends and our Australian friends, but it required a bump bump session. Thank you dear hbg. Sorry I didn't acknowledge you wonderful song.
Montserrat Caballé and Marilyn Horne ( it's her birthday on Thursday ) in concert singing the duet "Belle Nuit", also known as Barcarolle from Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Offenbach

what a joy it is to listen to them !
Good morning from here in our Florida radio station.
edgar and hbg, what a fantastic mix of music you fellows played on our radio. Wish I could acknowledge each one, but as you know my way of saying thank you both from our listeners and your pd is to thumb them up.
I have quite a bit to do today, so hope things go well here.
Following the sad news about Trigger, from the wonderful "Only Fools and Horses" ( http://able2know.org/topic/231535-1 ) ........ I thought I'd play the opening theme tune as an 'omage.
Gawd rest yer, Trig.
Lyrics......( pony = £25 by the way)
Stick a pony in me pocket
I'll fetch the suitcase from the van
Cause if you want the best 'uns
And you don't ask questions
Then brother I'm your man
Where it all comes from
Is a mystery
It's like the changing of the seasons
And the tides of the sea
But heres the one thats driving me berserk
Why do only fools and horses work
La la lala - la la la la la (etc)
And of course, the even better closing tune......
Lyrics.....
We've got some half priced cracked ice
And miles and miles of carpet tiles
TV's, deep freeze and David Bowie LP's
Pool games, gold chains, wosnames
And at a push
Some Trevor Francis track-suits
From a mush in Shepherds Bush, Bush, Bush,
Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush
No income tax, no VAT
No money back, no guarantee
Black or white, rich or broke
We'll cut prices at a stroke
God bless Hooky Street
Viva Hooky Street
Long live Hooky Street
C'est magnifique Hooky Street
Magnifique Hooky Street

'Hooky' is a slang word meaning something that's not quite legitimate.
Ever bought a counterfeit watch/purse/perfume etc? Maybe something that has "fallen off the back of a lorry" (stolen)?
Over here in certain circles, these items would be referred to as hooky.
