The headline may not mean much to anyone outside the UK, but you can guarantee that anyone who has watched TV here from the 80's onwards, will immediately take a second look.
The "Only Fools and Horses" comedy on British TV quickly became part of our national fabric.
If you're in the USA, just think of your most popular TV comedy of all time and multiply that by probably a factor of five or so, and you may just about get close to how Only Fools is loved by the average Brit.
Exceptionally well written, it went on for series after series, churning out all manner of improbable scenarios and storylines involving various shady but hilarious profit making enterprises from a small group of tight knit friends and family in and around Peckham, a run down high rise area of London.
Before the BBC News blurb....here's a few gems from "Trigger", played by the wonderful Roger Lloyd Pack.
The character "Trigger" is not exactly bright and nearly always gets the wrong end of the stick. He is a road sweeper by trade, but now and then does a bit of dodgy dealing in an effort to make extra money. It very seldom works out.
In this clip, he has some briefcases to get rid of....
In the next clip, he joins in a conversation about Andy Warhol, and what he said about people being famous for fifteen minutes....
Some may also recognise him from one of the Harry Potter films....he appears in this clip at 4.17.
