@edgarblythe,
edgar, hurry back. As you know, I love They Call the Wind Mariah.Jullian Lennon's song was great as well.

Anyone remember Gilbert and Sullivan?

Today is Gilbert's birthday.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar, and once again I appreciate your comments.

Strange, I know The Pointer Sisters, but not that song.

Love soul music and here's an answer to your song.

First, some info.

Train is an American pop rock band from San Francisco, California. The band currently consists of a core trio of Pat Monahan, Jimmy Stafford, and Scott Underwood

Now, another Trane.

Partial lyrics, y'all.

In A Sentimental Mood I can see
the stars come thru my room
While your loving attitude is
like a flame that lights the gloom

On the wings of ev'ry kiss
Drift a melody so strange and sweet
In this sentimental bliss you make
my Paradise complete

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know him either, edgar, but it seemed to match your song.

Love Nola by Billy Williams.

Another birthday guy; Johnny Mercer. I wanted to do Accentuate the Positive, but kept getting an internal error.

Here's a tribute to that excellent performer.

youtube had some problems a short time ago. Seems okay now. I like Johnny Mercer as well as I do most of the great song writers.

@edgarblythe,
Love Thanks a Lot by the man in black, edgar. Remember Dynasty? Here's a tribute to Linda Evan and John. Be patient as it takes a bit for the sound to start.

@Letty,
We watched much of the Dynasty series. I never thought it was very good, but watched anyway.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar, and I really like The Kingston Trio doing The Bay of Mexcio. Mickey Mouse was funny.

Going to say good night with two songs.

First a tender one by Bobby Darin.

@Letty,
Some synchronicity here, you post Winchester Cathedral on the day Sir John Tavener dies, and I've just heard that his funeral will take place in Winchester Cathedral. Some would say it's a coincidence, but I think it's just a bunch of things happening.

Here's the Chairman of the board, still the best version in my book.

Good Morning, Pink has so many good songs but this is still her best. "Try" is a close second.
