@hamburgboy,
hbg, I played that for your daughter once. There was a revival of that era later and believe it or not, I can still do the charleston dance.

Here's another era of that particular time.

Don't forget to check our "Bond, James Bond." Sorry to be so late in arriving to our studio. Still not well, y'all.

I know and love My Girl, letty. I thought I responded earlier, then remembered I lost connection at that moment.

edgar, thanks for your comment, and I really enjoyed Judy's Early Morning Rain as well as Marty's Spanish Lullaby.

hbg, Night Train is great by Louis, but Keely doesn't look too happy with it.

Up early today as I have things to do

Dutchy, so good to see you here, and this one is for you from all of us including your lovely wife. Hope she doesn't mind WA2K radio being her proxy.

First, the jazz version by Art, then the lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln6yI-0elu4

As beats the ocean surf upon the sand
So beats our heart for you
For just as constantly as sea meets sand
So beats our heart for you

We'll always be true
Faithful to you
Skies have been blue
Since you came in view

As beats the rhythm of a mighty band
So beats our heart for you, dear
So beats our heart for you

Today is the Norwegian Constitution day. 199 years ago a group of people decided it was time to stick it to both the Danes and the Swedes and start doing things their own way. But we still love them!

So congratulations to those who were lucky enough to be born here. We all won the lottery, so I'll feel grateful rather than proud to be Norwegian today.

good morning to all !

belated birthday greetings to Richard Tauber :

Quote:
Richard Tauber (16 May 1891 – 8 January 1948)[1] was an Austrian tenor acclaimed as one of the greatest singers of the 20th century. Some critics commented that "his heart felt every word he sang".

" i kiss your hand , madame ! "

edgar, thanks again for your comment and as you know I love "the velvet fog".

hbg, Love both your songs: The Norway dance and Tauber's hand kissing.

Cyracuz, Welcome back to you, my friend, and to add to hbg's tribute, more Norway.

Aloha again. Cool I've been preoccupied the last few days, so how bout a jazz triple header? (I-J-K)

First off, Bill Evans trio, with bassist Chuck Israels, on "If you could see me now." ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-ktJKj9NbA

Next, the Jazz Crusaders (before they renamed themselves the Crusaders to pursue the pop/funk market), with "Young Rabbits" ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjZnYe2Hr18

Lastly, Stan Kenton with "Intermission Riff" ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA5m7gzyc7M
