The diamond songs are good ones.

@edgarblythe,
Love Valotte by Julian, edgar. Did I hear an acoustic bass being bowed? Great!

Another birthday guy, but one I don't know. Here's some info.

Taylor Kitsch is a Canadian actor and model. He is known for his role as Tim Riggins in the NBC television series Friday Night Lights and for his role as Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Now, the tribute.

The thing with me and today's actors, I can enjoy a performance in a new movie but not feel curious to know the performer's name or personal details. I was star struck in the past. Not so much now.

good morning and happy birthday to " Paul Robeson "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh9WayN7R-s

Quote:
Paul Leroy Robeson (pron.: /ˈroʊbsən/ ROHB-sən April 9, 1898 – January 23, 1976) was an African American singer and actor who became involved with the Civil Rights Movement. At university, he was an outstanding American football player, then had an international career in singing, as well as acting in theater and cinema. He became politically involved in response to the Spanish Civil War, Fascism, and social injustices. His advocacy of anti-imperialism, affiliation with Communism, and his criticism of the US government caused him to be blacklisted during McCarthyism. Ill health forced him into retirement from his career. To the end he remained unapologetic for the unpopular political stances he took

edgar, Thanks for your comment, and I truly love Charles Lloyd-Jason I shall be Released as well as "the fab four's" If I fell. I think my favorite of yours was by Sarah Vaughn and Clifford Brown, however.

hbg, You know how I like Russian music and that Laridah March was beautiful.

Ethel doing We Have so much in common was perfect for WA2K radio.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for restoring our signal, edgar. What a great bass voice Paul had. He and Enrico Caruso have been cited as being outstanding in their music.

Don't know Letter to an Angel by Jimmy, but I enjoyed it.

Your angel reminded me of The Sons of the Pioneers. My mom loved them.

@edgarblythe,
Dear Andy, Love Lida Rose. I also remember Marie and Donnie singing The Other Side of the Mountain.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First, inspired by you, The Osmonds.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4ud1jZTdZE

Now, Stella by Starlight. I think most of us know the original came from The Uninvited.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox2isQcOqGY

Here are the lyrics.

The song a robin sings
Through years of endless springs
The murmur of a brook at eventide
That ripples by a nook where two lovers hide

A great symphonic theme
That's Stella by Starlight
And not a dream

My heart and I agree
She's everything on Earth to me

A great symphonic theme
That's Stella by Starlight
And not a dream
My heart and I agree

So nice to have hbg with us today. I listened to Blue Moon because of him.

From Letty with love to the moon and the world
