I saw a documentary on Nat Cole, narrated by Jeff Chandler, when I lived in San Francisco. I have been searching, but can't find it on line, as yet.

@edgarblythe,
Love Dear Heart by Andy and Henry, edgar. That brought a small tear to my eye. Indicentally, that was Ragland Road in Dublin.

Here's one by "gentleman" Jim and inspired by the lyrics another by Nat Cole.

good monday morning msletty , ed and all other listeners to WA2K Radio !

today is the birthday of a great country singer :

Quote:
Charley Frank Pride (born March 18, 1938) is an American country music singer, musician/guitarist, recording artist, performer, and business owner. His greatest musical success came in the early to mid-1970s when he became the best-selling performer for RCA Records since Elvis Presley.[2] In total, he has garnered 39 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

Pride is one of the few African-American country musicians to have had considerable success in the country music industry and only the second African American to have been inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Good morning from here in Florida.

hbg, The March of the Cobblers, Danny Boy, and Charlie Pride were great.

Thanks once again for the personal acknowledgment and the info.

edgar, Your goodnight song by The Beatles resembled a spider somewhat. Razz

That hen was funny but her intonation wasn't good. I was going to say, I like mine with a hug until I realized your comedy. Thanks for the comment.

euro, welcome back, and that soul man was great. Didn't know him, so once again thanks for the introduction.

Hope I didn't miss anyone. I stayed up too late to watch The Banshee. Remember that harbinger, Irish?

Thinking of John Donne today, so once again The Lettermen doing No Man is an Island.

Now, a birthday man that I really love. Could dance to many of his songs.

I first heard about "the will o the wisp" when I heard Johnny sing Skylark, but realized later that it was simply swamp gas.
