thanks to you and edgar for the comments, euro. Love Paul Simon, too as well as Donovan doing Try for the Sun.

The people who lived in Peru had to adapt to the environment. Many of them were heavy chested because of the height. In other words; survival of the fittest.

Here are Simon and Garfunkel doing the lyrics to this beautiful song, followed by the instrumental.

hbg, I love Stompin' Tom, and that "frogman" doing You Always Hurt the One You Love was a true classic.

edgar, thanks again for your comments, and "old blue eyes" Fairy Tales was good, too. Also enjoyed Hoyt's I've Never Been to Spain.

Sorry to be late to our studio, but my daughter is not well.

Two songs for today from a great performer.

First, another Spanish song.

@hamburgboy,
hbg, Thank you so much. I think these are the English lyrics.

In All My Dreams (Liebestraum) Lyrics
by Helmut Lotti

In all my dreams i only dream of you, love
I guess it was meant to be
and all those dreams, you make them all come true, love
I know you're the one for me

and through my darkest night
you send your brightest light
and make me feel so strong
so strong in your nude embrace
so weak near your shining face

in all my dreams you take me to the stars, love
and that's where i long to stay

and through my darkest night
you send your brightest light
and make me feel so strong
so strong in your nude embrace
so weak near your shining face

all my dreams, you make them all come true, love
i know you're the one for me
when i'm awake you have to pinch my cheek
for a girl like you
you are my dream come true

@Letty,
msletty ,

Chet Atkins has his own lyrics for " Liebestraum " !

Quote:
Thine love is mine.
Thine heart with mine entwine, love.
My soul for thee doth pine.
Thine eye doth shine.
Thine life with mine combine, love.
Thou art my valentine.
Lips like apple wine.
Face like kalsomine (oh, fine).
My clinging vine,
My voice for thee doth whine.
You're older than Auld Lang Syne.

Twinkle, twinkle little star,
How you wonder who I am.
Way up in the sky, so low,
You're a better man than I am, oh, by Jove.

The polar bear sleeps in his little bearskin.
He sleeps very well, I am told.
Last night I slept in my little bare skin,
And I got a heck of a cold

Pease Porridge hot,
Pease porridge cold,
Pease porridge in the pot
Nine days old. Peehew!

and another birthday for today : Julius La Rosa .

Quote:
Julius La Rosa (born January 2, 1930) is an American traditional popular music singer who worked in both radio and television beginning in the 1950s.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9IMx_6ltR0

( remember the Artur Godfrey controversy ? )

Quote:
a part from wiki :

With hit recordings and his appearances on Godfrey's shows, La Rosa's popularity grew exponentially. At one point, La Rosa's fan mail eclipsed Godfrey's. A year after La Rosa was hired, he was receiving 7,000 fan letters a week.[2] On the morning of October 19, 1953 (in a segment of the show broadcast on radio only), after La Rosa had finished singing "Manhattan" on Arthur Godfrey Time, Godfrey fired La Rosa on the air,[1] announcing, "that was Julie's swan song with us." La Rosa tearfully met with Godfrey after the broadcast and thanked him for giving him his "break". La Rosa was then met at Godfrey's offices by his lawyer, manager and some reporters. Tommy Rockwell was highly critical of Godfrey's behavior, angrily citing La Rosa's public humiliation.[6]

Comedians began working the phrase "no humility" into their routines. Singer Ruth Wallis, known for her raunchy double entendre novelties, recorded "Dear Mr. Godfrey,"[7] a biting satire on the matter, which made it to #25 on the Billboard charts in November 1953. Days after firing La Rosa, Godfrey also fired bandleader Archie Bleyer, owner of La Rosa's label Cadence Records, for producing spoken word records for Cadence featuring Chicago-based talk host Don McNeill, whose Don McNeill's Breakfast Club on ABC Radio opposite Godfrey's morning show was considered a direct competitor.

I recall that dispute between Julius and Arthur. Rolling Eyes

Happy Birthday Julius. Loved your song by him, and here's the one that I remember.
