@edgarblythe,
edgar, I was surprised that he could sing.

You know, of course, how I love dear Bobby. Once in a Lifetime was great.

How about Blondie.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, Texas. Didn't know that one by Babs. My Heart Belongs to Me was excellent.

Here's another heart surprise. The Lettermen go up the scale then briefly back down.

For ALL the cricket and Brass Bands fans here....

Roy Harper - When an Old Cricketer Leaves the Crease.

When the day is done
And the ball has spun
In the umpire's pocket away
And all remains in the groundsman's pains
For the rest of time
And a day
There'll be one mad dog and his master
Pushing for four with the spin
On a dusty pitch
With two pounds six of willow wood
In the sun

When an old cricketer leaves the crease
You never know whether he's gone
If sometimes you're catching a fleeting glimpse
Of a twelfth man at silly mid-on
And it could be Geoff, and it could be John
With a new ball sting in his tail
And it could be me, and it could be thee
And it could be the sting in the ale
The sting in the ale

When an old cricketer leaves the crease
Well, you never know whether he's gone
If sometimes you're catching a fleeting glimpse
Of a twelfth man on silly mid-on
And it could be Geoff, and it could be John
With a new ball sting in his tail
And it could be me, and it could be thee
And it could be the sting in the ale
The sting in the ale

When the moment comes
And the gathering stands
And the clock turns back to reflect
On the years of grace
As those footsteps trace
For the last time out of the act
Well, this way of life's recollection
The hallowed strip in the haze
The fabled men and the noonday sun
Are much more than yarns of their day

When an old cricketer leaves the crease
Well, you never know whether he's gone
If sometimes you're catching a fleeting glimpse
Of a twelfth man on silly mid-on
And it could be Geoff, and it could be John
With a new ball sting in his tail
And it could be me, and it could be thee
And it could be the sting in the ale
The sting in the ale

When an old cricketer leaves the crease
Well, you never know whether he's gone
If sometimes you're catching a fleeting glimpse
Of a twelfth man on silly mid-on
And it could be me, and it could be thee

edgar, Thanks again for your comment, and I really love Donovan's Wear Your Love Like Heaven. I know all about our dear Danny/Dutchy's problem. We go back a long way. Had to ask him for a link to his Birthday celebration.

Barry, Didn't know Feel Like Going Home. Thanks again for the introduction.

hbg, That funny milkman song was to the music of YMCA. Love it.

Sorry if I missed anyone. A sleepless night for your PD.

Awakened early thinking of these two songs.

First, this lovely song by Aker Bilk.

@Izzie,
Izzie, Welcome back dear lady.

Although Skyfall wouldn't play here, I've been keeping track of it.

The London Olympics by Emeli was fabulous. Those lovely folks singing True Colors was my favorite especially the instrumentation, but the Jubilee celebration was fantastic.

Speaking of royalists, here is one for all of you by Dame Vera Lynn.

We're all holding good thoughts for our Dutchy, incidentally. So glad to see you oat and aboat. Razz
