Thanks. I followed Pogo from its beginning until it was finally retired. Walt's son carried it on for a time, but he could not keep up a high enough quality to be successful.

Joe Cocker - Feelin' Alright.

Seems I've got to have a change of scene
'Cause every night I have the strangest dreams
Imprisoned by the way it could have been
Left here on my own or so it seems
I've got to leave before I start to scream
But someone's locked the door and took the key.

Ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself
Well, ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself

Well boy you sure took me for one big ride
And even now I sit and wonder why
And when I think of you I start to cry
I just can't waste my time I must keep dry
Gotta' stop believing in all your lies
'Cause there's too much to do before I die.

Ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself
Well, ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself

Don't get too lost in all I say
Though at the time I really felt that way
But that was then and now its today
I can't get off yet and so I'm here to stay
'Till someone comes along and takes my place
With a different name and yes a different face.

Ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself
Well, ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself

edgar, thanks for the comment, and The Drifters doing White Christmas was excellent.

Hey, Brit. Rosabelle's Hello Christmas was really good and I just found out that she's from London.

Joe Cocker's was a good one as well.

Going to say goodnight with two songs.

First, "the crooner".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-ykZUb3AEE.

Going to play this one again. Just found out that Christopher Plummer is Canadian. What a surprise.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOAfIeAG3GI

Great to have London and Canada with us today. Hope euroGeorge is alright.

From Letty with love and a sense of well being.

Some of the music from Sound of Music is good, like that one. The film is something I have never wanted to see.
I have Bing's Christmas album. Listen to it going to work sometimes.

Saying good night with Sam Cooke.

Clark Terry - one more time with " Samba De Orfeu "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBxrS4OrhV0

Quote:
Clark Terry Sextet live in Montreux Jazz Festival, back at 1977.
Clark Terry (fl, tp) is joined by an all star band including:
Oscar Peterson (p)
Ronnie Scott (ts)
Niels Pedersen (b)
Joe Pass (g)
Bobby Durham (dr)
Milt Jackson (vb)

This is part of the Norman Granz (producer) collection.
I still cannot believe the synthesis of this setting. I know that Milt Jackson, Clark Terry and Oscar Peterson had a history of playing and recording together, but still...I'm so happy to have this live performance.

good night all !

edgar, as you know I love Sam Cooke and thanks for your comment. I didn't like The Sound of Music either; just that song from it. Hurry back, Texas.

hbg Your goodnight songs brought back memories of great jazz. Love Clark Terry, buddy, especially that Samba with Oscar Peterson.

Once again, that song from Damn Yankees by Abbe I especially like.

Today is this guys birthday. Here's a great song by him so let's give a listen, ok?

Coldplay - Christmas Lights.

Christmas night, another fight
Tears, we cried a flood
Got all kinds of poison in
Of poison in my blood

I took my feet to Oxford Street
Trying to right a wrong
Just walk away, those windows say
But I can't believe she's gone

When you're still waiting for the snow to fall
Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all

Up above, candles on air flicker
Oh, they flicker and they float
And I'm up here holdin' on
To all those chandeliers of hope

Like some drunken Elvis singin'
I go singin' out of tune
Sayin' how I always loved you, darlin'
And I always will

Oh, when you're still waiting for the snow to fall
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all
Still waiting for the snow to fall
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all

Those Christmas lights light up the street
Down where the sea and city meet
May all your troubles soon be gone
Oh, Christmas lights, keep shinin' on

Those Christmas lights light up the street
Maybe they'll bring her back to me
And then all my troubles will be gone
Oh, Christmas lights, keep shinin' on

Oh, Christmas lights, light up the street
Light up the fireworks in me
May all your troubles soon be gone
Those Christmas lights keep shinin' on

@Barry The Mod,
Thanks for restoring our signal, Barry. Great one by Coldplay, but a bit sad. Christmas Lights was not one that I know by those guys. The man in the moon looks as though he just got a black eye. Maybe this will cheer them up.

Thanks, edgar. My daughter wrote me about that horrible tragedy and I still can't get it out of my head nor mind.

Tom Waits - Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis.

hey Charley I'm pregnant
and living on 9-th street
right above a dirty bookstore
off cuclid avenue
and I stopped taking dope
and I quit drinking whiskey
and my old man plays the trombone
and works out at the track.

and he says that he loves me
even though its not his baby
and he says that he'll raise him up
like he would his own son
and he gave me a ring
that was worn by his mother
and he takes me out dancin
every saturday nite.

and hey Charley I think about you
everytime I pass a fillin' station
on account of all the grease
you used to wear in your hair
and I still have that record
of little anthony & the imperials
but someone stole my record player
how do you like that?

hey Charley I almost went crazy
after mario got busted
so I went back to omaha to
live with my folks
but everyone I used to know
was either dead or in prison
so I came back in minneapolis
this time I think I'm gonna stay.

hey Charley I think I'm happy
for the first time since my accident
and I wish I had all the money
that we used to spend on dope
I'd buy me a used car lot
and I wouldn't sell any of em
I'd just drive a different car
every day dependin on how
I feel.

hey Charley
for chrissakes
do you want to know
the truth of it?
I don't have a husband
he don't play the trombone
and I need to borrow money
to pay this lawyer
and Charley, hey
I'll be eligible for parole
come valentines day.

edgar, Yes We ARE the World. Recognized almost every singer in that wonderful song.

hbg, I adore a Spanish guitar. Capricho by Christoper was great.

Barry, Tom Waits' Christmas Card from a Hooker often tells it like it is, unfortunately. Time for me to say goodnight and I'll let ABBA say what I always want to say to everyone here.

From Letty with love and hoping for a better world.
